2023 Orleans County Historic Preservation Awards

The Cobblestone Society Orleans County Historic Preservation Awards allows us to show appreciation to the people who are using historic preservation to safeguard and enhance structures in Orleans County.

Recipients of the Preservation Awards represent the very best of what the County stands for and supports in historic preservation. They exemplify best practices in the field and demonstrate how preservation is integral to building stronger neighborhoods, boosting local economies, and saving the places that are special to all of us. The Historic Preservation Awards celebrate those who work so hard to protect that shared heritage.

Nominations are due September 1, 2023.

Award Categories
Cobblestone – To recognize outstanding preservation and rehabilitation of a historic cobblestone structures located in Orleans County.
Resident- To honor an Orleans County homeowner who completes rehabilitation/restoration of a 75+-year-old historic residential structure.
Business- To honor the body of work demonstrated by a business or organization in the preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of historic projects In Orleans County.

Criteria(For use by selection committee)
1. Award recipients must be structures located within Orleans County or a business that has worked on structures in Orleans County.
2. Structures nominated must be 75 years or older.
3. Cobblestone Society Directors and employees, and their immediate family members are not eligible for Historic Preservation Awards.
