A new exhibit for 2023 featuring 19 historic Orleans County coverlets has been installed in our Thompson-Kast Visitors Center. All of the coverlets are from the Museum’s permanent collection and are available for viewing during our regular hours or by appointment.
All of the coverlets were believed to have been made by local weavers and were created for homes in Orleans County in the 1830s and 1840s.
Mark your calendars for a special educational program to be presented by coverlet collector Marty Schlabach of Interlaken, NY on Saturday, November 11 at 1pm in the Thompson-Kast Visitors Center.
