Progressive Organ Concert – Sun. June 1

Christ Church Organ

Mark your calendars for the Cobblestone Museum’s Progressive Organ Concert on Sunday, June 1st. This progressive concert begins at 3pm at Christ Episcopal Church in Albion. Darryl Smith will be the organist for the first of three, short concerts in churches at the Courthouse Square. The Christ Church organ is a Steere & Turner Pipe Organ from 1873. A wine and cheese reception will follow the first concert at 3:30pm at Christ Church. A short walk to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church follows where guests will enjoy our second short concert featuring local organist Aaron Grabowski. The final concert will take place at the neighboring First Baptist Church where Gary Simboli will demonstrate the amazing breadth of the 1925 Moller Opus Pipe Organ located there.

An optional dinner follows the three concerts at the Tavern on the Ridge at 5:15pm (formerly Tillman’s Village Inn.) A choice of three menu selections will be available for our concert guests. Those who wish to join us at The Tavern on the Ridge can choose from Cottage Pie, French Ham Melt Sandwich with Arugula Salad or Asian Chopped Salad with Ginger Chicken. Coffee or soft drinks are also included. (Cash bar available.)

Tickets for the June 1st Progressive Organ Concert are available now and reservations are necessary to join us for dinner. The cost is $20 per person for the three concerts or $45 for concerts and dinner. Order online at CobblestoneMuseum.org or call (585) 589-9013. Some tickets will also be available for the concerts-only at the door on June 1, but the dinner must be reserved in advance and seating is limited, so please respond early.
