Be sure to save the date of Sat. October 3 for this year’s Architectural Tour (formerly Tour of Homes) when we will visit six homes and businesses in Eastern Niagara County. The list of sites is now confirmed, we are visiting two sites each in the Towns of Somerset, Newfane and Wilson.

• Wilson House Inn & Restaurant (Cobblestone), 310 Lake St, Wilson NY 14172
The Schwarzmuller’s will showcase their 270-degree wooden staircase in their front entrance, among other amenities, such as an interesting doorbell feature, original to the house. We will also visit the Van Horn Mansion in Newfane, built by the Van Horn Family in 1823, it’s a cultural and historical centerpiece for the Town of Newfane, and offers looks at life around the Victorian age. The Van Horn family contributed immensely to the growth of the area, and their surname has been honored on streets, buildings, and more. Their home was the first brick building in town, and has had many redesigns throughout its life.
We are pleased to present a wonderful opportunity to enjoy dinner following your tour at the Wilson House Inn and Restaurant, one of the six stops on this year’s tour. Kerry Atlas is the new owner of this cobblestone masterpiece, and she is eager to have you join her for dinner. She’s created a special menu and pricing just for our guests and we will share that information as soon as it is available. If you make the restaurant your final tour stop you can spend the rest of the evening relaxing at the restaurant as they are open until 9pm.
The tour sites have been arranged to help limit your drive time between stops. A map will also be included. All the details will be highlighted in a carry-along publication that will explain the history of the six stops on the tour. Tickets are available online or by phone. Cobblestone Members can take advantage of the special price of $20. Other will need to pay $25 per person.
