Cobblestone Flea Market – Sat. July 20 (9am-3pm)

By Sue Bonafini, Asst. Director

Mark Your Calendars to Join Us on July 20 at the Cobblestone Flea Market!

Our 2024 Flea Market will take place a few weeks earlier than in recent years. The event will take place between 9 am and 3 pm. Ample free parking is available along the grounds of our Thompson-Kast Visitors Center, across the road from the Cobblestone Church. Hopefully the weather will cooperate on July 20 and the campus will be bustling with vendors, visitors, and of course, bargain hunters! As of press time, 18 vendors have already reserved one or two selling spaces and more sellers are anticipated. Sellers will set up on the lawns around the church and nearby Ward House. Do you or someone you know have an interest to sell? Please contact me at (585) 589-9013 or volunteers@cobblestonemuseum.org to request a vendor’s application or additional information. A 10×10’ selling space is only $20. Bring your own chairs, table and canopy/tent if available to create your own personal shade.

Crafts, handmade goods, propagated plants, books, kids’ toys, antiques, collectibles, glassware, and MANY gently used miscellaneous items are expected, which means there will be a wide variety of items to appeal to young and old alike. The Cobblestone Museum will sell White Elephant mixed goods at our outdoor spaces, which are all donations from members and friends of the Cobblestone Society. We’ll accept additional items through Saturday, July 13 if you have something to donate. Many of our items will be sold at the “best offer” price this season. Do you like to be thinking of Christmas in July? Be sure to check out our well-stocked Holiday Shoppe in the lower level of the Cobblestone Church, just steps away from our Gift Shop and Used Books building.

Once again, we’ll offer refreshments at the Food Tent after 10 am until mid-afternoon. Director Doug will be grilling Zweigles brand hot dogs, and cooking the summer season’s early corn-on-the-cob, generously donated by Lora Partyka of Partyka Farms in Kendall.
If you’d like to tour some of our buildings or exhibit rooms while you’re on campus for the Flea Market, please inquire at the Gift Shop, where an attendant will be stationed throughout the event.

Finally, volunteers are still needed to help our Flea Market run smoothly. Again, contact me as indicated above if you have an interest to volunteer, or know someone who’d like to help.
