Mortar application and content: Vertical heavy. Vertical pyramids. Vertical mortar is raised into pyramids which originate below the upper horizontal and are cut off when the lower horizontal is intersected. Some stones interrupt the lower horizontal mortar and protrude through it.

The one and one-half story house at 5445 Route 21 has rough cut gray limestone quoins. Window lintels are cut limestone blocks arranged in flat arches. Stones are arranged four courses to a quoin on both the front and side walls. Stones are smoothed and are variable in size, shape and color. Vertical mortar is raised into pyramids which originate below the upper horizontal and are cut off when the lower horizontal is intersected.
