Mortar application and content: Vertical heavy. Vertical pyramids. Vertical mortar is embellished into pyramids originating below the top horizontal, and are cut off as they join the lower horizontal.
Types and uses of stones: Irregular rough. Rows of stones on the front are 4 to the quoin, while on the sides and back there are only 3 rows. Stones are irregular and rough.
Types and choice of windows: Lintels gray cut stone, first floor; brick, length vertical, second floor. The window lintels on the first floor are made of flat arches of cut limestone, while those on the second floor are made of brick.

This house at 4676 White Road was originally owned by Samuel Smith. It was built ca. 1830-32. The 68-acre farm was purchased by James White in 1880. It included a large apple orchard. Later it was a tenant house and still later for storage. It has since been restored as a residence. Richard Palmer blog.
