Sunday Painters Art Series-Sunday, March 4, April 8, May 6, June 3, 1pm-5pm
The “Sunday Painters’ Classes” will be a series of four hands-on art workshops taught by artist, Patricia Greene of Medina. The topics include: Color Theory (Color Harmony using a limited pallet of four colors), Composition (Finding the focal point-“The Star of the Show”, Creating Drama (Using darks/lights, soft/sharp, warm/cool), and Learning from the Masters (Studying and copying styles from historical notables). An art show of student art will be mounted at the museum throughout 2018. Cobblestone Society Maple Syrup Bus Tour-Friday, March 23, 8am-4pm
Local maple sugaring expert, Georgia Thomas, will be our host as we head down to Maple Syrup Country to learn about and enjoy this tasty treat at stops along the way. Save room for a hearty serving of home cooked pancakes and lots of maple syrup.

Progressive Organ Concert-Saturday, May 12, 5pm
The “Progressive Organ Concert” will feature three different historic organs in Albion and three amazing musicians, in one awe-inspiring evening concert to be held in progressive fashion beginning at North America’s oldest cobblestone church (1834), and moving on to Christ Episcopal Church and First Baptist Church. Our eight historic outhouses and in-houses will be the star attractions in this repeat of a sell-out from 2017. Learn about these “necessary” structures from the past.
Peony Festival Garden Tour-Saturday, June 2
Sue Starkweather-Miller will lead this bus tour that will visit several beautiful peony gardens, including the Linwood Gardens Tree Peony Festival, located at a National Register property in Linwood, NY.
Historic Trades Fair-Saturday, June 9
The Cobblestone campus springs to life for the start of our 2018 season in style, with artisans at work demonstrating their historic handcrafts, including blacksmiths, printers, leather workers and much more. Joining us for the day will be a cadre of soldiers representing the Blue and the Gray from the Civil War.
Window Restoration Workshop with WNY Landmark Society-June 12-16
Expert historic window restorer, Steve Jordan, author of “The Window Sash Bible” will conduct a four day hands-on workshop and a 1-day short course on historic window preservation and restoration at the Gaines District #5 Cobblestone Schoolhouse.
New Life for Cobblestone Treasures Bus Tour-Tuesday, June 26, 8am-5pm
Sue Bonafini/Doug Farley are your tour guides for this bus tour with planned stops at several businesses that have adaptive reuses for their historic cobblestone buildings.
Patriotic Service-Sunday, July 1
Celebrate our nation’s Independence Day with style in the 1834 Cobblestone Church. An 11am patriotic service is planned with spirited music, readings and refreshments.
A Day in the Life of a Cobblestone Family-Friday, July 13, 6pm
Guided Group Tour featuring a snapshot of 19th century family life including Father’s activities as farmer, Mother’s responsibilities in the cobblestone house, children’s day at school, and the family’s day of rest activities on Sunday.
Cobblestone Camp: Summer Classes for Children-July 18 & Aug.15 (age 7-9) & July 25 & Aug. 22 (age 10-12), all 1pm-3pm Various age appropriate activities will be offered in each session.
