Antiques Appraisal Sat. Feb. 10, 10am-3pm. Join us at Tillman’s Village Inn where local antiques appraisers will be on hand to give you valuable information about your family heirlooms, bric-a-brac, painting, old jewelry and much more.

Sunday Painters Art Series, Sunday, March 4, April 8, May 6, June 3 (1-5pm) Sponsor: Go Art! The “Sunday Painters’ Classes” will be a series of four hands-on art workshops taught by artist, Patricia Greene of Medina. The topics include: Color Theory (Color Harmony using a limited pallet of four colors), Composition (Finding the focal point-“The Star of the Show”, Creating Drama (Using darks/lights, soft/sharp, warm/cool), and Learning from the Masters (Studying and copying styles from historical notables). An art show of student art will be mounted at the museum throughout 2018.

Cobblestone Society Maple Syrup Bus Tour, Fri. March 23 (8am-4pm.) Local maple sugaring expert, Georgia Thomas will be our host as we head down to Maple Syrup Country to learn about and enjoy this tasty treat at stops along the way. Save room for a hearty serving of home cooked pancakes and lots of maple syrup.

Membership Fundraising Dinner, Wed. April 25, New this year, our first Annual Membership Dinner, will be held at the Carlton Recreation Center and catered by Michael Zambito, owner and chef of Zambistro! Enjoy raffles galore and learn about all of the Cobblestone Museum events for the year.

Progressive Organ Concert, Fri. May 4. Featuring three different historic organs in Albion and three amazing musicians, in one awe inspiring evening concert, along with a delicious progressive meal along the way. Sponsor: Go Art!

The Outhouse Tour: Here We GO Again! Fri. May 18. Our eight historic outhouses and in-houses will be the star attractions in this repeat of a sell-out from 2017. Learn about these “necessary” structures from the past.

Historic Trades Fair: Sat. June 9. The Cobblestone campus springs to life for the start of our 2018 season in style, with artisans at work demonstrating their historic handcrafts, including blacksmiths, printers, leather workers and much more. Joining us for the day will be a cadre of soldiers representing the Blue and the Gray from the Civil War.

Window Restoration Workshop with the WNY Landmark Society, June 12-16 at the Cobblestone School. Expert historic window restorer, Steve Joran, author of “The Window Sash Bible” will conduct a 4 day hands-on workshop and a 1-day short course on historic window preservation and restoration.

(Invitation Event) Summer Solstice Garden Party Redux, Wed. June 20. What could be a better way to kick-off the summer season than spending an enchanting evening in a beautiful garden setting in Orleans County? Join us for the Garden Soiree with a relaxing stroll through a lovely home garden, complete with delicious food, art, and music.

New Life for Cobblestone Treasures Bus Tour, Tues. June 26, 9-5pm-Your hosts Sue Bonafini & Doug Farley. Visit several businesses that have adaptive reuses for their historic cobblestone buildings.

Albion Patriotic Service – Sunday July 1. Celebrate our nation’s Independence Day with style in the 1834 Cobblestone Church. An 11am patriotic service is planned with spirited music, readings and refreshments.

A Day in the Life of a Cobblestone Family: Fri., July 13 at 6pm– Guided Group Tour featuring a snapshot of 19th century family life including Father’s activities as farmer, Mother’s responsibilities in the cobblestone house, children’s day at school, and the family’s day of rest activities on Sunday.

Cobblestone Camp: Summer Classes for Children, July 18 (age 7-9) & July 25 (age 10-12), 1-3pm. Make and play fun old fashioned games along with a Scavenger Hunt throughout the Museum. August 15 (age 7-9) & Aug. 22 (age 10-12), 1-3pm. Make a cobblestone house or log cabin and learn all about our heritage on a Cobblestone tour. Top off the fun by selecting and painting a stone to take home.

Cobblestone Society Garden Bus Tour (Sat. July 21) Spend a lovely day traveling with your host, Sue Starkweather-Miller, who will guide you through some of Orleans County’s finest home and business gardens.

Historic Trades Workshops—We will be hosting educational classes for historic trades including: chair caning, antique repair, woodworking, printing, foundry, etc., throughout 2018. Judy Larkin-Chair Caning: April 14

Orleans County Heritage Festival (Mid Sept.)

Cobblestone Tour of Homes – Sat. Sept 15. Get up close and personal with cobblestone architecture in this self-drive tour of area cobblestone homes, schools and businesses. Many indoor tours, too.

Sports Widows Series – (Oct-Jan.) Learn a new craft and enjoy fellowship and educational programs designed especially for your enjoyment on Game Days. Sun. Nov. 11 Grace-Orleans County Cooking

Cobblestone Ghost Walk –Sun. Oct. 7, 1-5pm. Prepare to be entertained in 19th century style with visits from famous people from Orleans County’s past. This is year-two for this walking tour favorite of so many people in 2017. A new cast this year includes several new spirits.

Holiday Shoppe- Nov. 2, 3, 4 from 1-5pm. Start your holiday shopping at the Cobblestone Museum with many one-of-a-kind gift items and handcrafts.
